Sanna has filmed expeditions all over the world - tracking down grizzlies and wolves in the wilds of the Canada's Great Bear Rainforest, exploring the dense jungles of the Peruvian Amazon to document the nocturnal habits of black caiman and trekking high into the mountains of Bhutan in search of the elusive snow leopard. She has filmed undercover in the South East Asia’s infamous ‘Golden Triangle’ – a lawless area run by militia warlords – to expose the illegal trade in tigers, pangolins and Asiatic black bears. And has spent weeks in the forests of DRC on the trail of poachers who are decimating the country’s gorilla population. In 2013, she negotiated the first ever film access into Myanmar just as the country emerged from half a century of military dictatorship. And she spent the following year on the frontline of elephant conservation with Saba Douglas Hamilton during the most dramatic spike in elephant poaching in over a decade. Sanna has lead teams of celebrities through some of the toughest emotional experiences of their lives filming for Comic Relief – taking Lenny Henry to Nairobi’s biggest slum and Chris Evans to India's tsunami ravaged coastline, helping Miranda Hart to face her own demons and showing Jack Dee the tragic reality of child death rates in Malawi. She spent a year filming with Adrian Edmondson on the border of Kenya and Somalia to answer the challenging question of whether Africa needs aid.
